http://www.rockwired.com/AOMAwardShowBanner.jpghttp://www.rockwired.com/WeAreBandNerds.jpgeing away for a week was a huge mistake but what choice do you have when you host a podcast and you get struck with laryngitis and it hurts like hell to talk. Some of the rasp is still with me, but ROCK SHOW is back, as is or co-host RITA LOUISE for two hours of music, interviews with some bands that have come ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE's way and banter between the hosts on their current living conditions in the Duke City and shady neighbors that are across from them. Neighbors that can't be stopped by ATF raids, forced evictions or the love of Christ for that matter and we've got a sneaking suspicion that meth making is in the picture. Thanks alot BETTER CALL BREAKING BAD for making this shit chic. Oh there is so much to discuss on this fine show but we are kicking everything off by announcing the winner of the ROCKWIRED ARTIST OF THE MONTH. To find out who it is you're going ot have to listen to the show until we fire off the press release. Also included in this edition of ROCK SHOW is music and exclusive interviews with Maryland-based rockers SEPIA, the all-female metal band FLIGHT OF FIRE and the rap metal band WE ARE BAND NERDS.

SEPIA formed in 2006 with little more than an acoustic guitar, a microphone, and a mission to create music on their terms, independent of what the music industry was dictating. As BlogTalkRadio's GETTYSBURG GERRY describes, "they put in the work, and have a sound of their own". 10 years later, SEPIA continues to make an impact on the local scene. They've rocked the traditional premiere Baltimore venues, and regularly host headlining events in Columbia and Burtonsville, MD. Their live show has expanded throughout the DMV and PA, and has been invited to various festivals in 2015-6. Now the band is onthe verge of releasing their eagerly anticipated LP DROP DEAD GORGEOUS.

WE ARE BAND NERDS - WHORE
iNTERViEW STARTS AT: 1h 22m 32s

WE ARE BAND NERDS is composed of BRANDON CROSS (Lead Singer/Rapper), TONY LUCAS (Rapper/Vocalist), DORIAN "SCULLIE" THOMAS (Guitarist), CARLOS "DJ SOL*LOS" JUAREZ (DJ/Sampler), STEPHEN "S DOT" BONILLA (Drums), and SANTOS "SANDMAN" JOHNSON (Bass). The BAND NERDS' sound is a unique take on the nu metal experience, as it creatively blends elements of jazz, metal, electronic, rap, and rock music. They are DEFTONES meets OUTKAST, weaving the former's melodic approach to hard rock with the latter's eclectic style of hip hop to create a unique tapestry of sound, allowing their music to appeal to a variety of individuals with a range of life experiences. Their lyrics tackle the real-life perspective of middle class minorities, discussing relationships, racism, and poverty; they also provide a motivational and relatable commentary. The infectious energy on stage during a Band Nerds performance urges you to jump up and down and whip your hair back and forth, all the while screaming along to songs like I COULD CHANGE and WHORE. I COULD CHANGE is an introspective song about feeling hopeless and stuck when your life hasn't panned out the way you expected, and WHORE is an all too familiar ode to being burned in a relationship and seeking non-committal relationships while nurturing your wounded soul.
