News of a new young female blues artist on the scene is always welcome , if not rare. Sure you hear about the likes of SUSAN TEDESCHI and ANA POPOVIC in of the blues media but if you ask ROCKWIRED, our money is on Australian blues artist ANNI PIPER. That sultry voice and raw delivery has earned her acclaim in both her native Australia and  the States and record deal with BLUES LEAF RECORDS.  She first made her presence known with her debut album JAILBAIT  back in 2004 which earned her an AUSTRALIAN BLUES MUSIC AWARD for BEST NEW TALENT and followed  that triumphant debut up with TEXAS HOLD 'EM (2007) TWO'S COMPANY (2009) and CHASIN' TAIL (2010). Now  PIPER shares the bill with American blues singer NICOLE HART on the album SPLIT SECOND where both ladies showcase their considerable musical chops.
