http://www.rockwired.com/April2017.jpgJust a few days ago we announced that ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE was going back to being a monthly issue and now we find ourselves announcing the arrival of one of the monst important issues in our editorial aresenal - the issue that gives it up for the women in rock. For fours years now this annual issue has shined the ever-loving light on women who are out there paying their dues in what has long been considered a boy's club and this year we've become acquainted with some new faces such as LUCID FLY and singer songwriter  DAPHNE WILLIS but we've also become re-acquainted with smoe very familiar faces such as EDGE OF PARADISE (who were featured in our previous issue) and VAJRA whose front woman ANNAMARIA PINNA is about to scorch the country with her electrifying stage presence with a new single and tour. All of these lovely ladies can be found on the cover of what promises to be a very exciting issue. "After having walked the edge of wanting to retire the magazine, ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE is an enterprise that feels reinvigorated." says ROCKWIRED editor-in-chief BRIAN LUSH. "THis issue will clearly show the whole music world that we as a publication are firing on all cylinders again!"  Adding fuel to the fire of this upcoming issue is an all out celelbration of one of the most celebrated rock icons. In this newest issue we will be taking a good hard look at the music of the legendary band BLONDIE ont he eve of the release of their eleventh studio album POLLINATOR (due out in May of 2017). In this exciting 32 page spread, ROCKWIRED MAGAZINE will review every single BLONDIE album and every single DEBORAH HARRY solo album. "In 2016 we had lost so many musical icons and ROCKWIRED this year wants to give it up for an icon that is still with us. In a way, this is the issue I've always wanted to do. BLONDIE was such a trailblazer. An album they released forty years ago sounds current today. Clearly this wasn't just another band on the skids of the Bowery. They were fucking onto something and it has set the tone for music and culture and while I have no idea about fashion they set the tone for that as well. And now with a new album coming out I couldn't think of a better time to celebrate this all too important band."
